midnight music

Yet another great composer had a birthday this month, and in the Halloween spirit died a tragic death.

Georges Alexandre-Cesar-Leopold Bizet (best known for Carmen) was just starting to grow in his career as a classical composer when he got into a swimming match, caught a nasty cold, burst a lymph node and died on his 6th wedding anniversary at the age of 36.

Here is a little Nachtmusik from Bizet.

HALLOWEEN SONG 1: Nocturne in D Major - Georges Bizet

(though it would be spookier in D minor)
