on their way up

It's always nice to watch a band grow up and get what they deserve, even while still in their infancy.

Back over the fall I was assigned Sherlock's Daughter to review, and in the end their few tracks made it to my top 20 albums for the year. Not bad for a band who hasn't even completed their first full album.

Today the band posted that they are featured on this week's cover of The Village Voice. Ok, it's more about their housing situation than their album, but still, it's publicity. Hopefully this is a sign of more things to come, and bodes well for a very deserving bunch.

I like to describe Sherlock's Daughter as an Australian Version of Sigur Rós. Enjoy!
