Mostly known for her version of "Garota de Ipanema (The Girl from Ipanema)", Astrud Gilberto is a legendary Brazilian Bossa Nova singer. Since Mr. IMo? is practicing his Portuguese this week, this song is for him. Thanks Maciej for the idea.

After nearly a year of Song of the Day posts on Facebook I am starting a music blog. For those days when just a few characters isn't enough to fill my musical thoughts.This is meant as a journal for teaching my kids about the importance of music and music history.
