Month of the Girl Band: day 18 more matriarchs

There are a few ladies who I have sort of skipped over up to this point who are important "matriarchs" if you will on the girl band family tree. Most people are at least vaguely familiar with either the names or music of these ladies, so I will just post a few songs and leave the research up to you. Most of these women were making music as singer/songwriters in the 1960's-1970s so they run a bit folksy. Don't hate me for cramming them all together in one day.

Joni Mitchell
